Last weekend was pretty wet and miserable. Not something that normally worries me, as it is a good excuse to stay inside with a book or the Xbox, but not great when I want to get out and about and spend some time getting used to the new camera.
Luckily, I had a brief window of opportunity when the sun came out, and I got some photos of our egg cups that sit on the kitchen windowsill.
To get any results, I had to fiddle with the white balance quite a bit. White balance is not something that I have ever really used before, and I only even thought to do so after some trawling through other people’s images on Flickr.
I spent a bit of time experimenting with the white balance to see if I could get any good images with true colours indoors. Mixed results, although I did end up with a bit of an Hellenic themed series.
