I began using TweetDeck today. I did this because after over a year of trying to keep my Twitter follows at a manageable level I realised that it was a losing battle and so have sharply increased my following list. Tweetdeck offers a multi panel Twitter client, allowing you to group your followers and only be alerted when certain groups update, which is great. What is less than great is the interface design. Each panel has a scrollbar (as you would expect), and the ability to close off each panel independently. Unfortunately, the button to close each panel is right above the scrollbar, exactly where I want to click each time I got to scroll to the top of the list (see it above, to the right of “Replies”). In about one hour of use, I have accidenlty clicked this button about five or six times. This could be a dealbreaker for me, I am not a patient man, even though TweetDeck seems an otherwise great tool.
